The American Friends of Green Lebanon Club (AFGLC) has launched its Pink October campaign to support women's health in Lebanon by helping provide medical screenings and treatment for women in need, in cooperation with Green Lebanon Club and Saint Lourdes Primary Health Care Center in Furn El Chebbak.

Under the theme "Healthy Women, Stronger Lebanon," the American Friends of Green Lebanon Club (AFGLC) has launched its Pink October Fundraiser to promote early breast cancer detection and help provide essential medical screenings and treatment for women facing difficulties accessing healthcare services in Lebanon.

The initiative aims to support 100 women by raising funds to help cover mammography screenings, radiotherapy, and other necessary healthcare services based on each beneficiary's medical needs.

Joelle Bechaalani, President of the American Friends of Green Lebanon Club, explains that the campaign reflects the organization's commitment to supporting women's health in Lebanon, particularly through early detection and access to medical care for those most in need.

"Our goal is to support 100 women. Every contribution, regardless of its size, can help provide a screening or contribute toward the cost of treatment," Bechaalani says.

She emphasizes that the initiative goes beyond raising awareness about breast cancer. It also seeks to translate that awareness into practical support, helping women access the medical services they need.

The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with Green Lebanon Club, through Saint Lourdes Primary Health Care Center in Furn El Chebbak, which is managed by Green Lebanon Club, alongside local medical partners.

According to Bechaalani, donations will support mammography screenings and radiotherapy, as well as help provide necessary healthcare services to women benefiting from the initiative, depending on their individual medical needs.
