Enigma Magazine honored Lebanese-American entrepreneur Elie Kai with the Enigma Achievement Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, recognizing his career and accomplishments in business and entrepreneurship. The award was presented during the magazine’s 10th annual Arab Glamour & Success celebration in Beverly Hills, California.

The event brought together Arab and American figures from the worlds of business, entertainment and society to celebrate Arab personalities whose achievements have gained international recognition and influence. Kai was among this year’s honorees, alongside Egyptian actress Yasmine Abdel Aziz and singer Ahmed Saad.

The Consul General of Lebanon in Los Angeles attended the event and joined in celebrating Kai and his achievements, highlighting the accomplishments and success stories of members of the Lebanese community in the United States.

Yasmine Shihata: Celebrating Arab Success on the Global Stage

Yasmine Shihata, founder and CEO of Enigma Magazine, opened the event with remarks welcoming the guests and highlighting the magazine’s ongoing mission to showcase Arab success stories and excellence on the global stage, as well as the importance of recognizing outstanding achievements in business, culture and entertainment.

According to Enigma, the event served as an opportunity to celebrate Arab personalities whose influence and accomplishments have extended beyond the region to the international stage.

Elie Kai Reflects on His Journey and Thanks His Mother and Family

One of the highlights of the evening came when Eli Kai received the Enigma Achievement Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship and delivered an acceptance speech reflecting on his journey to success and the challenges he faced along the way.

During his remarks, Kai expressed his gratitude to those who had supported him throughout his journey, offering special and heartfelt thanks to his mother, his family, his friends and everyone who stood by him over the years.

According to Enigma, the award recognized Kai’s entrepreneurial vision, innovation and determination to succeed despite challenges.

From Immigration to 34 Locations and More Than 250 Employees

Kai’s journey carries particular significance for the Lebanese community in the United States. He emigrated from Lebanon to the United States during the years of the Lebanese Civil War and later built a career in entrepreneurship and investment.

Kai is the founder of CORKED and FLOW, two retail businesses that employ more than 250 people across 34 locations in Southern California. He also heads Strategy Investments, Inc., which specializes in real estate investments.

Since moving to the United States in 1989, Kai has expanded his business activities, with his companies now operating 34 locations across Southern California, employing more than 250 people and generating over $400 million in annual revenue.

His biography published by the Holy Spirit University Foundation notes that he is a graduate of Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) and Collège Central. He also serves on the foundation’s board and has held leadership roles in several Lebanese-American organizations.

A Lebanese Presence at an Arab-American Celebration

Kai was not the only honoree at the event. Enigma also presented awards to other prominent Arab personalities, including Yasmine Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Saad, while previous Enigma award recipients, including businessman Mohamed Hadid and Lebanese-American producer Elie Samaha, participated in presenting the awards.

The celebration brought together Arab and American personalities as part of Enigma’s effort to highlight Arab success stories and individuals who have built an international presence across different fields.

Eli Kai’s recognition adds another chapter to the stories of Lebanese immigrants who have built successful careers in the United States from an immigrant who arrived in America during Lebanon’s war years to an entrepreneur overseeing dozens of locations and providing hundreds of jobs across Southern California, now honored for his achievements in entrepreneurship.
