The International Lebanese Medical Association USA (ILMA-USA) is preparing to hold its 2026 National Medical Conference in Washington, D.C., on September 26, bringing together physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from the United States and Lebanon.
The conference will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington under the theme “Healthcare Without Borders: Innovation, Policy, and Global Leadership.” It will address a range of issues shaping the future of healthcare, from health policy and healthcare system transformation to artificial intelligence in medicine and global health.
A key focus of the conference will be strengthening ties between Lebanon and its medical diaspora. A dedicated session will explore ways to build academic bridges and support Lebanese medical students and residents through mentorship, research opportunities, training, and academic partnerships.
The conference will also feature prominent Lebanese figures from the medical and academic fields, including Dr. Fadlo R. Khuri, President of the American University of Beirut, alongside Lebanese physicians and academics working at leading U.S. institutions.
Following the conference, the ILMA-USA Foundation will host an evening gala in support of scholarship programs and clinical and research opportunities for Lebanese medical students and physicians, as well as initiatives supporting medical education and healthcare in Lebanon.
