In a step aimed at uniting the efforts of Lebanese institutions in Lebanon and across the diaspora, Pascal Dahroug, President of the Lebanese Diaspora Energy (LDE), and Bill Madarani, President of the American Foundation on Lebanon (AFOL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic partnership between the two organizations to strengthen communication and cooperation between Lebanon and Lebanese communities around the world.
The partnership is founded on a shared conviction that the Lebanese diaspora is one of Lebanon’s greatest strengths and that building a network of cooperation between Lebanese institutions at home and abroad will create new opportunities for investment, knowledge exchange, education, and sustainable development.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to develop joint projects in the fields of economic and social development, encourage initiatives that connect Lebanese talent across the globe with Lebanon, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and organize conferences, workshops, and networking events that foster collaboration among business leaders, professionals, and Lebanese and international institutions.
The two organizations also seek to support initiatives that contribute to revitalizing Lebanon’s economy, encourage investment, launch programs that empower youth and entrepreneurs, and leverage the expertise and resources of Lebanese communities in the United States and around the world.
