As the United States marked the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a wide-ranging social media campaign under the slogan "Happy Birthday America" swept across digital platforms.
Government institutions, civil society organizations, public figures, and millions of users took part by sharing congratulatory messages, videos, and photos celebrating this historic milestone.

The Lebanese American community also maintained a strong presence throughout the campaign, with numerous Lebanese-American organizations and institutions launching digital initiatives that reflected the depth of Lebanese-American relations and expressed their pride in participating in this national celebration marking 250 years of American independence.

Among the most prominent participants was the Lebanese American Council for Democracy (LACD), which led a comprehensive media campaign over several days. Through a series of videos and social media posts, LACD highlighted key milestones in American history while showcasing the contributions of Lebanese Americans across various sectors, reaffirming the longstanding partnership between the Lebanese and American peoples.

The American Friends of Lebanon (AFOL) also joined the campaign by publishing congratulatory messages emphasizing the importance of strengthening Lebanese-American relations and highlighting the role of the Lebanese diaspora in fostering friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The campaign also featured participation from the House of Lebanon in Los Angeles, as well as the Consulate General of Lebanon in Los Angeles, which issued a special message marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. Several other Lebanese-American organizations and associations also celebrated the occasion through their digital platforms.

This broad participation reflected the active presence of the Lebanese community across the United States and the commitment of its institutions to engaging in major American national occasions, underscoring both their integration into American society and their pride in their Lebanese heritage, while continuing to strengthen ties between Lebanon and the United States.

The campaign once again highlighted the prominent role of Lebanese Americans in various fields of public life and the important contribution of diaspora institutions in building bridges between Lebanon and their countries of residence, while reinforcing the enduring partnership and friendship between the Lebanese and American peoples.
