The Consul General of Lebanon in Los Angeles took part in Italy’s National Day celebration, held at the invitation of Italian Consul General Raffaella Valentini, marking the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.
The event brought together political, diplomatic, and cultural figures from the United States and Italy, alongside members of the consular corps and representatives from the business and arts communities, in an atmosphere reflecting friendship and cooperation among the participating countries and communities.
The celebration also highlighted upcoming international sporting events, particularly the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with a focus on the Olympic spirit and cultural and sports cooperation between the host cities.
Olympic champion Francesca Lollobrigida was also among the guests, while the symbolic transfer of the Olympic torch from Milano 2026 to Los Angeles 2028 marked one of the evening’s key moments.
The occasion underscored the importance of strengthening ties between Lebanon and Italy, as well as fostering cultural and diplomatic dialogue among communities in the United States.
