Los Angeles recently hosted the "LEAP" event, an initiative that brought together Lebanese figures, diaspora communities, professionals, and cultural voices in an atmosphere aimed at strengthening connections, collaboration, and Lebanese identity abroad.
The event gathered Lebanese professionals living in the United States, alongside entrepreneurs, creatives, activists, and members of the Lebanese-American community, focusing on building stronger networks among Lebanese in California and reinforcing ties within the diaspora.
Among the participants was well-known Lebanese content creator Anthony Rahayel, who appeared as a keynote speaker during the event. Rahayel highlighted the importance of showcasing Lebanon’s cultural and human image to the world, as well as the role digital content plays in connecting Lebanese abroad to their roots and identity.
The event also featured the presence of Lebanese Consul General in Los Angeles Charbel Nassar, reflecting the interaction between the Lebanese consulate and diaspora initiatives bringing together members of the Lebanese community in California.
The gathering included discussions and networking sessions focused on preserving Lebanese identity abroad and supporting initiatives that connect Lebanese communities overseas, particularly younger Lebanese-American generations.
Participants described the atmosphere as a reflection of Lebanon’s spirit, warmth, and sense of belonging, considering the event a first step toward future initiatives aimed at expanding connections among Lebanese communities across the United States.
Such initiatives come at a time when Lebanese diaspora activities in the United States continue to grow, with increasing efforts to strengthen Lebanon’s cultural and social presence abroad and create spaces that unite Lebanese communities around identity, belonging, and collaboration.
